My name is Marjolein,  I read and review books, mostly books from the USA and the UK, and a Dutch editions of  American and English books as well. I graduated in 2005 in Social and Cultural Work, with a specialization at Arts and Culture. After my graduation I worked as an afterschool teacher, untill I was diagnosed in 2010 with a rare and serious kidney disease called Gitelman Syndrome, where I still am recovering from.Beside book blogging I love to Zumba and to watch Will and Grace. And before I forget: I am a big fan of New York City. I have never visited the USA yet, but it is my dream to do that someday, especially New York!

My blog which I called MarjoleinBookblog was started in april 2008. I started reviewing for the You Review program blog of American Book Center,( where I am an You Review Elite member, look here for my You Reviews) and soon after that I started up MarjoleinBookBlog, to review every book I have read and to host author interviews, guest posts and book giveaways. I review Young Adult, Middle Grade, Fiction, Romance, Chick-Lit, Woman's fiction and occasionally a Children's Book.

The blog is updated almost daily with new book reviews, and book related content.

My review of the YA novel 'Audrey, Wait!' by Robin Benway is quoted on the backcover of the paperback edition of this book.
