After living in different countries all over the world, Zeeta and her mom Layla are settled now in at Mazunte, Mexico, where Layla is managing a cabana resort, and where Zeeta's true love, Wendell, has an internship photographing rare sea turtles. Everything goes well till Zeeta and Wendell discover some sea turtle poachers on the beach, and they find out that the owner of the land where the cabana’s are located wants the land back to give it to their son. Will they have to leave again and find a new place somewhere else on the world?

Zeeta is also determined to find her true father, who has to live somewhere around Mazunte after they have briefly met in France. They discover that the owners of the land now more about this. And who is that strange neighbour ladywith a tiger in her backyard?

As I have read the previous two books in the Notebook trilogy by Laura Resau (The Indigo and Ruby Notebooks) I was thrilled to read the Jade Notebook. I think it is a great and amazing conclusion to the books. All the characters from the previous books have grown and, as always whith Laura's books, the characters and settings where very realistic as Laura knows the places in different countries she writes about, which is just amazing! I loved how Zeeta’s search for Tortue continued and Layla became less flighty and seemed to finally settle down in a place where she belongs. Just another fabulous book by Laura Resau that you don’t want to miss!!
