But are Connor and Leslie ready yet for new love or do they first have to make peace with their past? But everyone in Virgin River can see that things are heating up at Haggerty Construction

Altough it looks like just another romance novel, Hidden Summit is a fast paced and entertaining novel by Robyn Carr. I never new this exciting series excisted and that this book is part 17 already! Once I started this book, I couldn’t stop reading. As a reader you just start to love and feel for the characters because they are very realistic. with all the problems and issues normal couples have to address and I love how hot and passionate they are! I found Connor to be a very brave and moral man who was doing all he could to take care of all his loved ones and himself!

There is a side story going with Connor’s sister and her children and you can see that it is the set up for the next book. The pages fly by in this quick-paced, tense, emotional, and passionate story that will thrill every reader who loves romance fiction.

Q&A with author Robyn Carr:

Have there been any books, romance or other genres, that have greatly influenced you as a writer? What are they?
Too many to count, really. The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy was an amazing adventure; The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher was like falling in love with a family; The Chicago Stars series by Susan Elizabeth Phillips was the most fun I’ve had in a romance series in forever.

What would you tell someone who wants to start writing romance or women’s fiction? I’m sure you get a lot of questions like this. Is there one piece of advice that you always share with aspiring writers?
This is a difficult job that more often than not doesn’t pay well. Embarking on it to become rich and famous would be a mistake. Taking on the writing profession because of a deep love of the craft is the only reason that makes sense. To me, anyway. I wrote for over 30 years before getting a bestseller – that takes either profound stubbornness or a overpowering love of the craft.

Which character from HIDDEN SUMMIT do you find yourself relating to the most and why? Is there one character, from any of the Virgin River books, that you are particularly drawn to?
First, in Hidden Summit, I relate to Leslie – when her husband divorced her, she suffered an enormous confidence problem. I understand that too well – I can get 100 compliments but that single negative jab haunts me!

The single character from ALL the Virgin River novels I am most drawn to, feel I know the best and relate to most is Jack Sheridan – he’s a piece of work. Sometimes he seems like a perfect man, sometimes he’s emotionally clumsy, sometimes wise, sometimes foolish; he’s sometimes so kind and supportive, other times he can be angered and has a bit of a short fuse. Most of all – he’s terribly funny and his wry humor saves his ass more often than not. Yes, even though I don’t know him in reality, I really get him.
