Chloe Camden is happy with her life: popular at school and her best friends Brie and Mercedes are never leaving her side, she has a cool after school job at Mexican restaurant Los Hermanas (ok, when she has to wear a burrito outfit to promote the store and get new customers and cheerfully hands out coupons on the side of the road..   not so much..)and guess what, she is just crowed Prom Queen! But then her life starts to crumble apart: suddenly Brie and Mercedes start to ignore her completely, and worse, they start some very bad rumors about her that are totally lies.

And then her her new guidance counselor throws her proposal for her junior independent study project out the window. So now she’s understandably depressed . Chloe is forced to take on a meaningful project in order to pass, and so she joins her school’s struggling radio station, where the other students don’t actually are liking her that much. And then her personal life at home is in trouble too: Grams', Chloe's beloved grandmother who lives in her trailer called The Tuna Can)mental state grows worse due to Parkinson, and her mom is forcing Grams to leave the Tuna Can and go live in a home for the elderly. Chloe get's more and more lonely, but she ends up hosting a call-in show that gets the station much-needed publicity and, in the end, trouble. She also befriends radio techie and loner Duncan Moore, a quiet soul with a romantic heart. On and off the air, Chloe faces her loneliness and helps others find the fun and joy in everyday life. But will her own life will get back on track?

The cover alone attracted me already to this outstanding and oh, so fun book! From the first page to the last, I was hooked to Chloe's story. I though the story was very original, and I loved how the author woved together so many different parts in Chloe's life in to one fast paced fun story and added so many layers. Chloe is just a very kind and big hearted girl, but with two toxic best friends who destroy her life in a whim. And her new mandatory school ''job'' at the radio station seems like one big failure at the start, especially with a crew like the one at this high school radio station, with the grumpy Clementine who really starts to show how much she dislikes Chloe and every idea she comes up with. But Chloe saves the station and becomes popular with the high school listeners, but then the station is coming to an abrubt end because of a fire. Chloe just really win's the readers heart because of her quirky and spunky character and her openmindedness. I really recommend this book if you just want a real smile on your face while reading, this is a perfect book to cheer you up! Just plain FUN!!!!
