I am very pleased to welcome author P.C. Cast on the blog. P.C. 's newest book Time Raider, The Avenger just released and P.C.Cast is on blog tour, and she is here today for an interview:
How did the idea for the Avenger originate?
Time Raiders is a unique series of paranormal time travel romances written only by authors who served in America's Armed Forces. All of our heroines are military women, and they are on a mission to find pieces of an ancient medaillon that, once put back together, will save the world.
It's a great series, and the Avenger was lots of fun to write. I loved taking my heroine back to 60 AD Briton, and having Boudicca as a secondary character.
Where did you get the inspiration for the characters of the Avenger?
I am an ex Air Force sergeant, so I patterned Alex, the heroine of the Avenger, after a mixture of my military friends and me. Historical research inspired my interpretation of Boudicca, dreams and fantasy brought my here, Caradoc, alive.
If you could be a character from your books for one day, who would it be and why?
Shannon Parker from Divine by Mistake, Divine by Choice and Divine by Blood. I've always identified more closely with Shannon than any of my heroines, and her hero, Clan Fintan is omy very favorite!
Which authors are inspiring you or have inspiring you the most?
I've always been a voracious reader, so many, many authors have inspired me. A few of my long time favorites are: Ray Bradbury, Robin McKinley, Ann, McCaffrey, Christopher Moore and Harper Lee.
Thank you P.C. The review of Times Raiders: The Avenger, will will be posted tomorrow
