Goddess Boot Camp by Tera Lynn Childs
In this sequel to Oh My Gods by Tera Lynn Childs, Phoebe Castro, descendant of the Greek goddess Nike, (no, not the shoe) just has learned from her stepdad Damian(headmaster of the Academy for descendants of the Greek Gods) that she has to go to the Goddes Boot Camp for the summer to remain and get more control over her magical goddess powers. She has to endure different tests there and earn badges, and she has to train for the Pythian Games that are coming up.
When she arrives at the camp, which is mostly filled with ten year olds, she learns that her counselor is her evil stepsister Stella, and her boyfriend Griffin seems to be cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend Adara. And then she learns that there is an ancient document in the Academy's library, which is about her dad, who died because he was in a conflict with Hades. When she wants to look up the document, it is gone from the library, and she gets mysterious emails of an anonymous person who knows where the document is and what she has to do to get to the document. Will Phoebe survive this summer?
Two years ago I was blown away by Oh My Gods, and now I finally got to read the sequel, which I wanted for a very long time.
Goddess Boot Camp is just the same amount of fun, mistery, lots of Greek God descandants with magical powers and the same fun characters. Tera Lynn Childs really did a great job with the Greek mythology red line in the book, and she has the most fabulous imagination. I hope this series will continue, because their really was a cliffhanger in what happened to Phoebe's dad, and I really would like to read that in the next book!
