My sisters' voices by Iris Jacob

My sisters' voices is a short story and poem collection. All the writers are teenage girls of African American, Hispanic, Asian American, Native American, and biracial backgrounds. Ethnicity is the key word of this book. The more than one hundred stories and poems are telling about their lifes. Inspiring stories about family, friendship, love, loss and opression.
I really liked the honesty and open-mindedness of the authors and their stories. The stories are a bit short and that made it a very ver fast read. And to be honest, I expected more of this book.
But it is must read in our global community and everyone interested in other cultures.
